AmbITion

AmbITion’s vision is to generate a critical mass of creative and cultural organisations that proactively consider digital development as key to business, operational, and artistic growth and sustainability.
Specifically, AmbITion prepares later adopters for organisational and business model change – using digital developments to support resilient strategy creation; digital content creation; collaborative relationships with media, broadcast and technology companies; and innovation readiness. We’re all about helping the cultural and heritage sectors increase their confidence, capacity, capability and creativity with digital opportunities.

Catalysing a mindset-change

AmbITion is impacting the cultural sector by catalysing a mindset-change and developing digital leaders.

We have developed the AmbITion Approach, a methodology at the heart of AmbITion programmes, that supports arts organisations through a managed process of organisational change to enable them to use digital technology in an effective and integrated way (across artistic, organizational and business practices) – for better 21st century sustainability.

Digitally Disseminating lessons learnt
Digital development lessons learnt, content, case studies, webinars, how to.. resources, and toolkits and AmbITion’s network (Nearly 800+ cultural sector professionals discussing and sharing ideas around digital developments for artistic, operational and business model enhancement) are all online at http://getambition.com.

AmbITion Scotland 2012-14
AmbITionScot&TrioRudman Consulting is delighted to announce that that Creative Scotland has launched its Cultural Economy Programme. This funding area includes investment in digital development for the cultural sector over the period 2012-2014 to be delivered by AmbITion Scotland, designed and delivered by Rudman Consulting, together with Culture Sparks. The £1.15m total investment support from The National Lottery  through Creative Scotland will sustain delivery for another comprehensive series of events sharing digital skills, knowledge and resources throughout the sector. The AmbITion Scotland team will be working directly with new partners, NESTA and Culture Hack Scotland building on our considerable experience from the last two-years to improve and enhance the programme, and opening it up to arts, cultural and heritage organisations across Scotland.

We’ve teamed up again with Interactive Scotland, the support mechanism for digital industries in Scotland to deliver the national event in Scotland for the creative, digital and interactive industries, Digital 2012.

AmbITion:Scotland 2009-11

A £1m programme (2010-2011) for digitally developing Scottish cultural organisations funded by support from The National Lottery through  Creative Scotland. The programme worked in depth with 55 Scottish cultural organisations, but any creative SME, cultural or arts organisation, or individual was involved in the wider learning and networking programme.

Rudman Consulting jointly ran the whole programme with Culture Sparks. All participants benefitted from AmbITion Scotland’s events, training and networking programme and online resources as well as being welcome in the almost 800 member strong online network!

AmbITion Scotland supported the launch of Creative Scotland funded Edinburgh Festivals Innovation Lab, and now we work with the lab (@festivalslab on Twitter) to disseminate the learnings into the cultural sector as widely as possible.

We also had significant support from the Scottish Centre for Enabling Technology and the Intellectual Assets Centre. We developed a strategic partnership with Interactive Scotland, the support mechanism for digital industries in Scotland to deliver the national event for the creative, digital and interactive industries in Scotland, Digital 2011.
